COVID-19 UPDATE

MAY 2ND, 2020

To our HCRD family, friends and fans: As a league, Hammer City continues to follow the federal, provincial and municipal public health guidance surrounding the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. In the interest of the safety of our community, we have proactively cancelled our home game that was scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 13th against teams from @forestcityrollerderby and @tricityrollerderby. We hope we are able to meet both leagues on the track again soon.

We have also cancelled our originally planned trip to Oleans, NY in June to take on @emrdbod.

All HCRD practices, programs and events remain cancelled indefinitely. We will continue to monitor local guidance from @cityofhamilton in order to determine when we may start rolling together again.

We sincerely hope that all of you are healthy and safe. Please continue to follow us as we will be sharing some neat ways you can support our league during this time. If you haven’t already, please also check out the Roller Derby United fundraiser that our friends at @toderby have created to help leagues that are struggling financially due to the pandemic crisis.
